Boy Scout Council honors Colonel Anthony E. Schiavi
and Eagle Scouts on June 19th.
Yarmouth Port, Mass, May 2nd, 2008 -- Cape
Cod and Islands Council, Boy Scouts of America will honor
Colonel Anthony E. Schiavi, Commander of the 102nd Intelligence
Wing of the Massachusetts Air National Guard and the
2007-2008 Eagle Scouts, for their service to the community
at Christopher's restaurant in South Yarmouth on June
19th, 2008.
Colonel Schiavi flew his last mission as Commander
of the 102nd Fighter Wing on January 25, 2008 after leading
them to earn four consecutive "Outstanding" ratings
for "Alert Force Evaluations," an unprecedented
accomplishment. Col. Schiavi will continue to lead the
102nd as its mission changes from air defense to intelligence
gathering.
For his outstanding example of "...promoting
self-reliance and other kindred virtues..." Cape
Cod & Islands Council, Boy Scouts of America is pleased
to honor Col. Anthony Schiavi as its Distinguished Citizen
for 2008.
Eagle Scouts are especially invited to attend
the event on June 19th and serve as Eagle Scout sponsors
for $175 per seat, which covers their dinner and the
dinner cost of one Eagle Scout as well as recognition
during the event and in the program book. Friends of
Scouting are invited to enjoy the exclusive dinner and

The evening on June 19th will start with social
hour and silent auction at 6:00 p.m. Dinner will be served
at 7:00 p.m. A live auction of unique items follows the
