How does Venturing work?
Venturing is a Youth run co-ed program. As a Venturer you will join other Cape Cod teens in planning and operating a Venturing Crew with guidance from qualified adult Advisors. If you are between the ages of 14 (or 13 and have completed the eight grade) and 20 years old, you may participate in Venturing. Venturing is a co-ed program and no previous scouting experience is required.
What else can Venturing teach me?
As a Venturer you will learn the important skills like team building, public speaking, and interviewing. You will also learn to organize your time to accomplish tasks for your school, religious organization, and for extracurricular activities.
What kinds of activities do Venturers do?
There are too many to list here, but some of the activities of Cape area Venturers have included, backpacking in the White Mountains, Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico, Coral Reef sailing trips in the Florida Keys, CPR/First Aid Training, teaching skills to others, arts and hobbies, rock wall climbing and community service projects.
